Why the Change
Over the past decade, ICARUS AERO has grown from a focused design organization into a comprehensive aerospace engineering and manufacturing firm serving civil, government, and military customers worldwide.
What began as a modest 4,000 sq. ft. operation has now expanded to over 12,000 sq. ft. of dedicated hangar, manufacturing, and engineering space at the Muskoka Airport. Our Transport Canada–approved manufacturing facility remains the cornerstone of our operation — now strengthened with enhanced tooling, production infrastructure, and advanced technical capabilities to support increasingly complex aircraft modification and integration programs.
We continue to deliver certified solutions across multiple domains, including law enforcement, military, medevac, search and rescue, border patrol, and EO/IR special missions. From powered stretcher-lift systems to airborne retractable mounts, our work embodies precision, innovation, and reliability.
The name iAERO represents that evolution. The “i” stands for innovation, integration, and intelligence — the values that define our approach to modern aerospace solutions.
What Stays the Same
While our name has evolved, our foundation remains unchanged.
- Our Transport Canada–approved Design Approval Organization (DAO No. 17-O-02) continues to anchor our engineering and certification authority.
- Our approved manufacturing facility remains fully operational, now enhanced with expanded technical capability, increased production throughput, and improved workflow integration.
- Our commitment to safety, quality, and compliance remains absolute.
- Our leadership, team, and partnerships remain steady — delivering trusted, high-performance results for every customer.
